Nathan Fields & Kali J: Bringing 'The Wow' to Genesis Vehicles

Hello, friends! I'm excited to talk about something special from my world at Rareform Audio. We recently had the pleasure of providing the soundtrack for Genesis Vehicles, featuring a track I produced called "Bring the Wow" for two different advertisement spots regarding the Genesis GV70 and GV80. First, I just want to give a huge thanks to everyone involved for bringing this to the finish line. Seeing something I worked on with Kali J play a part in such an awesome campaign is a huge honor.

How "Bring the Wow" Came to Be

The story of "Bring the Wow" started with a beat I put together one day, knowing Kali J was about to drop by the studio. She’s amazing with lyrics and always brings her A-game. We started working together some years back and hadn’t had a chance to cook up anything new for a while, so it’s always fun to see what we come up with. She is an absolute beast when it comes to writing music that's sync-friendly.

The funny thing is, we made "Bring the Wow" in just a day, without any specific plan for it. But then, just a few days later, my team and I were looking for the right song for this new Genesis campaign. Suddenly, "Bring the Wow" felt like it might be the right match, so it was time to get it mixed, mastered, and sent off. It wasn’t planned or custom; it just happened to fit the vibe Genesis was going for.

The Song and the Campaign

"Bring the Wow," like many tracks these days, is a mashup of genres that I don’t even know the current classification for. Is it hip-hop? Is it house? Is it pop? It’s got hip-hop vocals mixed with a slow house beat that’s all built around a warbly bassline that serves as the foundation of the track.

This whole experience was just another reminder of how unpredictable and exciting the creative process can be.

Once again, I just want to express how grateful I am for the chance to work on this project and the fun I had making music with Kali. Experiences like these fuel my passion for what I do. Some might think that after securing a number of placements, one more might not seem like a big deal. But to me, every project is significant. Each one, no matter its size, serves as a reminder of how fortunate I am to pursue my passion for a living, and I never take any project or collaboration for granted. A lot of effort goes into what my team and I do, and not every project gets to see the light of day, so every success feels like a miracle. It’s appreciated more than words can ever convey.

Appreciation

Thanks for letting me share this story with you. Here’s to more music, more creative moments, and more unexpected fits.
